Yeast Infection / Diffucan Question?

Ok so I just finished my keflex prescription on Friday. Now today I am starting to itch. Is it best to just take the Diffucan now? or do i wait until i have discharge?

Yeast Infection / Diffucan Question?

I'd wait until you can see your doc. I had a nasty reaction to my diflucan post op. I didn't have any problems with taking it before my surgery, but will think twice about taking it now Don't want to scare you, but better you know than find out on your own!!
Good luck

Yeast Infection / Diffucan Question?

if the doctor gave you the diflucan along with the keflex because you would probably get a yeast infection after the antibiotic ....i'd say go ahead with the diflucan now that you're done with the antibiotics. better to catch the yeast infection before it progresses, and why bother let it give you all the not so pleasant symptoms. i think diflucan is truly a wonderful medicine! one pill, and yeast infection is gone. as you probably know, it can take a day or two till the yeast infection is gone....even with the one pill. if you're not certain, of course, then call the doctor, and speak with him/her or the nurse.

i think it would be fine to take it now, if your symptoms are not gone in 7 days you can repeat the dose. It usually takes 2 diflucan for me to get cleared up.

Yeast Infection / Diffucan Question?

I was put on keflex after my tah/bso for an infection. I developed a yeast infection after the first days and I promptly called my doc who perscribed me a diflucan and had me take another one a few days later because I was still on the antibiotic. All docs do things differently, I would call if you start to get uncomfortable and see what they say.

Yeast Infection / Diffucan Question?

Diflucan works wonders for me, particularly if I take it early in the yeast flare up.Keflex is particularly strong and can often bring on a yeast infection. How long do you have to take it? Check with the doc by all means, but if he prescribed it for you,I would use it sooner rather than later. However if you are still having Keflex you may need a second dose.
