Sex is painfull

I don't know if anyone out there can help me but if you can, I would appreciate it greatly. Six months after my vaginal hysterectomy I started having pelvic pain after sex. I went to my Doctor and after doing a pelvic exam he said the pain was caused by scar tissue so he removed it. He said that should take care of the pain and it did for 2 months. The pain is back. I don't know if anyone has had this happen to them but if you have could you please let me know how it turned out for you. Thank you

Sex is painfull

Hi blondie,
It is possible you had/have granulation? While I haven't experienced it myself, it is not that uncommon. I have read where some women have to have silver nitrate treatments more than once in order to cure the problem. I think you should call your doctor.

Sex is painfull

Hi Km,
Thank you for responding. My Doctor did use silver nitrate after removing the scar tissue. It was not the most pleasing of experiences, I thought I was going to pass out. I went for a pelvic today and he said that he didn't see any new scar tissue, so that is a good thing. He said it could be caused by scar tissue farther up inside that he cannot see. On Tuesday I go for a sonogram. Thanks again
