cystoscopy, etc.

Well, i had my cystoscopy, 'resection of bladder mass', retrograde kidney whatchamalit, etc. The words alone can be sort of scary, but i don't remember a thing from yesterday's surgical procedure and that's the way i like it! spent most of yesterday afternoon sleeping, woke for a couple of hours for something to eat and a bit of tv - grey's anatomy of all things....but i love it! - and then back to sleep and didn't get out of bed til late. i'm home from work today, just to let the anesthesia get out of me...and they said no driving for 24 hours. i've got a headache, but no other pain than i've had for the last 2 months, so tylenol will be sufficient....they gave me vicodin if needed. and they put me on antibiotics - preventitive, i guess. i expect to be fine to return to work tomorrow, and then i'm off work on sunday, so i'll be able to take it easy then too. and i'll next talk with the doctor in a couple of days when the biopsy results come back. he was really nice yesterday - i'm liking him more than i did initially, now that i've talked to him several times. meanwhile, today, i get to watch a beautiful snowstorm wonderland outdoors.

Considering what you've been through, it sounds like you're in a good mood and bouncing back quite well. I hope you get good news from the biopsy. Let us know how it goes. 's

thanks, cricket. i really do feel like i'm overall ok...i think the worst thing about the procedure i went through was the anesthesia....and the psychological impact of seeing quite a bit more blood than usual when i urinate (that's how i knew there was a problem to begin with). i'm at a point where i'd just like to know what's wrong. oh...and...well...it would be REALLY nice if they could do something to end the urethral pain.
