Hi, been a long time since I have posted. I woke up this am, and went to the bathroom, urine, and it feels like there is still more that wants to come out.....Yeeoww...it is so uncomfortable, one would think I am in the last stages of pregnancy when you feel like you always have to pee..., anyway, What is this? I think I have a urinary tract infection. It is Sunday, who and what can I do until Dr's office opens tomorrow?, any help would be most appreciated.....

Samething happened to me about 3 weeks ago - Saturday night into Sunday morning. I also had burning and blood in my urine. I went to the emergency room Sunday morning. I felt funny going there as I didn't think it was an "emergency", but the doctor reassured me that it was and if it ever happens again, don't wait until morning. Hope this helps...good luck!

Thanks, Joanne, Went to the er, and they found a urinary tract infection, with something called cystitis and dysuria, which I am going to look up now. I filled up a cup in the er and it was full of blood. Scared me, but glad I was there...Thanks again,

Mary,

"Cystitis" is simply a bladder infection, although the term is often used to refer to infections and irritation of the lower urinary tract.

"Dysuria" is a term that means painful or difficult urination.

Both of these definitions would go hand in hand with a UTI.

take care, dear
