post op check today

hi all!!well,...i went to my doc today to see if i could return to work next week and to also ask about my worries about if id overdone things,as i was sorer on my left side.happy to say,ill be back to my office next week but i didnt get any examination at all.didnt look at me at all.is that the norm?i see many women saying that they had internals,so naturaly thats what i expected.i had an abdominal sub total to remove fibroids,scar tissue build up,endemetriosus and tilted womb.surgeons report said still some ende left that cant be removed.i kinda thought that some sort of check or even just a look was needed.

MIne felt up in there and that was it. Two seconds and out the door. Things are fine. Strange though, I agree!!

i know!i really expected something!especially as this is my 2nd big abdominal op and the surgeon had to cut through an old scar,which meant more dodgy to heal..but not even a glimsps in that area!!

Some drs do that. I can't understand it. It just seems like they need to look and make sure everything is ok. Is this your final visit and how are you feeling? If you have concerns I wouldn't let it go, but if you feel ok with how you are doing, it's probably ok. Follow your instincts. If you have something you want him to look at I would insist.

Mine felt, looked, told me my stiches were not dissolved yet and I was not healed yet. My hematoma was not healed yet and no sex until at least Jan 3 and maybe longer. She also said no baths, showers only. She doubled my colace due to constipation and added enulose (the drug from he**) Lynn

hiya precious pearl..guess this is my final check,as ill be back at work next week.funnily it was the same with my surgeon,..she too didnt want to see me again after the op..maybe i smell!!still feelin tender and dodgy but i feel going back to work would be a good thing for me..mentaly.need that focus again.but no way hozay will i tread near the sex thingy yet..thats tooooo scary just now!!!my hubby will just have to tie a big knot in it for now!!!
