Prayers needed for my baby granddaughter

My little 8 mo old granddaughter, Alexia, came down with respiratory flu 10 days ago. She lost her voice, could not drink her bottles because she choked so badly, and was in the hospital for 2 days last week. Tonight she choked on formula and stopped breathing and went limp. My DD is at the hospital with her now and her oxygen level is very low for an infant. I have the same flu she had and cannot go and be with them like I was last week. We could use all the love you sisters are so good at sharing to help the DR's figure out what is up with this little one.

Kathie - I'm prayin! and for your daughter, too. It is so terrifying to be in the hospital with one's sick baby, and such a helpless feeling to be the one left at home, so prayers for you, too!

Thank you so much. DD just called and baby has pneumonia. They are giving her breathing treatments and antibiotics and sending them home.

The being stuck at home is really hard. I am going to try and get some sleep now!

Kathiem, how scarey. It is easy to deal with things when it is us. We feel so helpless when it comes to our children and grandchildren sometimes, we just want them to be well. I am that God puts His healing touch upon her and she will be feeling better soon. I am also for your dd to get some rest, that you get over the flu and that God fills you with peace of mind. She has the smile of an angel, even sick. I saw her today and her little smile lit up her face even after I held her down for 4 failed IV attempts!

She needs a scope on her throat as she is still choking and inhaling her formula but the DR's can't seem to get on the same page. My DD and I are about to knock some heads together. I got some antobiotics today so hopefully I will get well enough to be some help here!

As we all can attest, the medical process can be frustrating at best and with a tiny baby there is not much wiggle room! I hope tomorrow gets some results!
