Muscle and Joint aches and on HRT, anyone else?

I Have been on HRT since my surgery in 03. Just recently I have been having pain in my joints and muscles throughout my body. The pain wakes my up it is so bad. I take Estradiol 1mg and Syntese H.S. Just wondering if anyone has had this happen.
Thanks Ladies

I also had severe joint pains that would wake me up at night. A little bit of progesterone cream took the pain away for me.

Hi. I am 10 years post-op and when joint pains started I knew it was time to increse my dosage. I've used two patches for years now, so you might need to add a low dose second pill to your current 1mg. It's worth experimenting with - I'm fortunate in that my doctor has been open to this process. I was on oral to begin with but found I absorbed the ERT better from patches. Good luck. Gal.

Thanks everyone. I figured that I was either to high or low on the horomones.. Going to the Dr. after the holidays to get this straightened out.. It seems like everday there is a new pain, Sometimes I just wonder if the hsyterectomy was worth it.

I use to have it real bad, but have added progesterone and testosterone, don't know for sure which helped, maybe
it is the combination. The regiment I am on is working
pretty well now. I have used the compounds and I went
back to a low dose of the generic estrodial .05 and then
use .45 progesterone and 1% testosterone compound it took a long
time to find the right mix, but think I have it now.
I also use estriol vaginal creme about every other day,
just a small amount.

Not saying this relates to you, but... I just read yesterday that a symptom of excess estrogen (and low progesterone) is muscle aches. Good luck!

I kind of believe that too, because when mine was so
bad I was using more estrogen, and no progesterone.

Ladies,
I am not taking any progesterone at all. Maybe that could be my problem. Not going to Dr. till 1/2/ 07. Think maybe he needs to take a blood test to see what I need.. I have been on the same horomones for 3 years, time for a change.. Do you find that it's hard to get them to have a blood test taken.. I have, only when I went through hell did they finally take the test.
Thanks

Luvvinthesun... yea, I left an endocrinologist for the exact same reason. From what I understand, hormone levels should be checked regularly.
