Are you taking any vitamin supplements since surgery?

Yesterday I started having some anxiety/nervousness. It scared me because I hadn't felt that way since before surgery when I had to go back on Effexor. Since surgery, though, things in that department (anxiety/nervousness) have pretty much gone away....until it hit me hard again yesterday. I've heard that B vitamins are good for helping control anxiety. I already take a multi vitamin and B-12. I have been reading online today about vitamin regemens for early menopause, and anxiety. It's interesting. I'm trying to research this and learn more so that I don't have to go back on Effexor. I got off it successfully after surgery. My doc ordered some bloodwork that I will have the results on Monday to see if there is anything "out of whack".

Are any of you taking supplements to help with early menopause, and/or anxiety?

Because of my infection and re-oppening the incision I have to see a wound specialist every tuesday. He has me taking Centrum Silver. I am only 46 but they say something about the Centrum Silver promotes healing so they reccamend it to all their wound care patients regardless of age. I also take vitamin C and eat lots of protein. I still take Effexor but am working towards getting off of it.

Intune101, that sounds like my regimen. I have really been hit and miss with it since surgery. It needs to be daily! I just forget...along with a lot of other important things. Silly brain.

hi little sister i am taking adrenal support system, mag/citrate ,total recovery vitamins for pre and post op surgery, digest support aid also nhrt.sounds like alot but i feel like it helps we are still tweeking the nhrt because of headaches and sleepless nights but i think i had a break thru last night when i backed of a bit from the estradiol.also i was on cymbalta before surgery lots of anxiety and depression for a long time due to the wacky hormones etc i stopped after surgery but very slowly reducing the dosage as prescribed by my doc.adrenal support seems to help me balance out everyday stress.watch your caffeine intake and alcohol.and of course always check with your doc if you need help .love leela
