losing weight

Hi,

I've lost 6 pounds in the week since my surgery. I'm almost down to the weight I was in high school and I don't want to lose any more. I can't eat large meals, as it hurts to have a bm. I'm drinking a protein drink each day to make sure I get enough protein. I'm trying to ear high calorie food like nuts and raisins.

Is losing weight like this typical?

I lost weight too mostly from not wanting to eat due to constipation. I think that after surgery you just go through some temporary changes. I would avoid the nuts if you are constipated. I would give it a few weeks and see if you get back to normal. When your body heals, it burns calories.
