phantom period?

I have a LAVH and kept my ovaries. I am waiting for my phantom period. It would be due any day now. My breasts don't hurt but I have been craving stuff and I am very emotional. Is it all in my head? Anyone who kept their ovaries have pms? Just curious

phantom period?

I had an SAH on 10/24 and have had phantom cramps, but today I had spotting - totally freaked me out. Has anyone had spotting 7 weeks post surgery?

phantom period?

I also kept my ovaries and I've had one phantom period so far.

I had all my basic PMS symptoms including major food cravings and bloating but no breast tenderness.

It isn't in your head at all, my understanding is that our ovaries are doing their thing even though we don't have a uterus to actually have the period part of our monthly cycles. I had one gal point out to me that I should be glad to know that my ovaries are indeed still working!

I'm very curious how next month will feel, especially because I will feel even better that much farther away from my surgery date. Today is my 1 month anniversary.

phantom period?

Yup, my face still breaks out, I crave chocolate and I get a tad tetchy...but I'm not complaining. I smile inwardly and gloat that I'll never have to worry about what to wear when my period is due again!

Oh, and I did have phantom cramps the first month (I still have my cervix). I guess I can't blame the poor thing for trying to keep on after 32 years of monthly work!
