Burning pain

I had a TAH on 12/11/06. I came home Weds. I have a burning sensation that varies from tolerable to OMG! Doesn't matter what I do. It is centered just to the right of my left pelvic bone. I hate to call my doc as I have an appt. on Mon and am hoping this is normal. The incision site is fine. Interesting colors but not really as sore as I would think. I am only taking ibu and aspirin. Please tell me I didn't just rip something inside as today is the worst is has been and the most persistent. Before, it only hurt if I moved just right.

Burning pain

I was hoping that it was just me healing inside but dang! I have t3's coming and may end up using them if they get here before the pain subsides.
Thanks for such a quick reply.

Burning pain

It will be weaks before that burning is gone, it will subside at times, but it will be a part of you for a while now. Accept the pain meds.
I am not one to quick take meds, And should have more, my Dr. said that pain med helps with the inflamation and that helps the pain.

Burning pain

What pain meds were you given? They told me to get off of Percocet and to take only ibuprofen but it doesn't help.

Burning pain

I'm over a year out and I can still remember that burning pain - ouch! Ice packs work well to help alleviate it.

Burning pain

I have that same burning pain on my left. It's not fun. I went back to the Dr. cause I was so worried. He said it's normal and gave me more Darvocet and he said take them. It's all the stitches inside and my body trying to heal. It brings me to tears sometimes. I know how you feel. Hang in there, it has to get better with time.
