Papillary Serous Uterine/Endometrial cancer

Hi, I am 54 yrs. old, started spotting in March 2006 for 2 wks. after being in menopause for 7 yrs. I was not on any hormones. Called my gyn Dr. and he had to do a biopsy of my uterus. It came back papillary serous uterine cancer. It invaded 15mm of my uterus and one side of the uterus is 18mm. Had my hysterectomy and they took out 20 lymph nodes of which 7 were positive. Then I started chemo and radiation at the same time. My original gyn was so surprised it spread that quickly to the nodes. Then in Sept. I was admitted for 2 weeks, I had terrible radiation burns to my urethra, urinating blood, platelets down... I couldn't go to my daughters wedding on the 12th,(married in Maui) and wanted to feel good for her reception on the 30th. While in the hospital I noticed my right leg was swelling up. I then had lymphedema!! Oct. I saw a therapist who is licensed to do massage, got wraps, stockings etc. then had a PET scan of my ureters and there is damage to them just below the kidney from radiation and had to have stents placed in each one. My leg swelling is down, I've just had a UTI and still have some bleeding so now I have to call my urologist and probably need my stents changed, I hope to go back to work in January 2007, I am a pediatric nurse. This hasn't even been a year yet for me. I wish I knew others that had this same type of cancer. I just keep praying.
