lightheadedness after 8 weeks

just been to see my gynae after 8 weeks post op tah/bso, he says everything is going fine, but i told him i have this constant lightheadedness/dizzyness all the time and asked him if it could be my hormones, he said my estrogen level is smack bang in the middle of normal range and that the dizziness is due to the op and will resolve itself. i am on 2mg estrogen and have been for the past 6 months, so its not as though i am only just getting used to them, although he did say that now my ovaries have gone its like starting hrt from the beginning, so maybe i have to wait for it to settle down
anyone else had or having this problem

lightheadedness after 8 weeks

Yes, I think so... I'm just under 5 weeks post op. Went back to work for the first time today and could barely stay 2 hours. I felt "swoony" my head so heavy I thought I might faint. Laid down on a yoga mat on the floor for a while until it passed, then I came home.
I'm thinking it's post op fatigue, and hope it doesn't last! Good luck to you!

Did they check your blood to make sure you aren't anemic? Just a thought. Hope you feel well soon.

Anemic - oh yeah!

Yes, I tested positive for anemia months before the surgery. The blood loss/anemia/fatigue was a big reason why I went in for LAVH. I previously had poor results taking iron tablets (bad stomach cramps and diarhea), but I found something new at drugstore.com called "SlowFE" that's supposed to be gentler on the stomach (at least that's what the customer reviews are saying). Hopefully that'll help.

Good news is I'm feeling much stronger today, day 2, back at work. I'm pulling the plug at 2pm though. Don't want to overdo!

Thanks for caring!
