What do i need to write in order to get an reply!

I am just a little upset because no one responded to my post a couple of days ago concerning my mother, so I'll give it another try, my question was about being a diabetic and overweight. My mother just had a complete hysterectomy and she is a diabetic and overweight and i would like to know if there is anyone else in the same boat. She's doing good but I would like to know how the healing is since she's a diabetic and what to eat to help her heal better. So, if there is anybody out there that could help me or give some helpful hints, it would be glady appreciated. Thanks

I am not able to give you the answer to your question and maybe no one else is either. That may be why you got no replies.

Good luck with finding help and I will pray for your mother.

God bless.

If you click on SEARCH at the top of the page, you can find posts about hysterectomy recovery and being diabetic. I did a search for the word *diabetic* & came up with four pages. Here are two threads to get you started.

I hope your mom is recovering smoothly. Sending cyberhugs

Hi Misstt
When there are alot of postings sometimes unfortunately the posts get pushed to the bottom really fast.
Sorry you have not had any responses, but in future if you find that happening, just bring it back to the top again by posting on it, just stating that you are just bringing it up to the frontline again.

I wish I could help you with your question, but I do hope you get some information soon.
Best wishes to your mom.

Just a couple of ideas that may help you:

Maybe you can contact the American Diabetic Association or local diabetes clinic/wound clinic and ask for advice on this matter.

It's really nice that you're helping your mother. Sorry you didn't get an earlier response, but your mother requires special attention that many of us are not knowledgeable about.

Best of luck.

Hi,

I'm sorry you didn't get replies to your first post. I did read it, but know nothing about diabetes. Although I DO know about overweight, I didn't think it would help. I'm glad you got responses now.

If you "reply" to a message it gets bumped up to the top.

Sounds like your mother needs special care that we lay- princesses don't feel competent to advise you about. Why not contact her doctors? Her gyn can work with her doctor to make sure that she recovers fully.

I am sorry no one was able to respond sooner. I haven't been on for a few weeks. (long story) sometimes it is hard to respond to a posting when you are not informed on the subject. I don't know much about your mom's condition But I wanted you to know that I will keep her in my prayers. She is lucky to have a wonderful daughter like you. Does she have a doctor who treats her diabetes? Can you call them and ask what they think about her recovery? Have you tried calling a wound care center? I hope this helps. If you ever need to talk, we are always here.
Lots of hugs
Shirley

I saw it also, but didn't have any experience with diabetes, or wound packing. You might try posting again with a subject line something like "Experience with wound packing?" Maybe that would catch the eye of someone who can help you.

Good luck!

Hi again, I am not diabetic but I did have a abdomial revision of wound which required the wound to be left open and packed for two months till it healed so if you have a question about that maybe I could help.
