cholesterol numbers revisted

Hi! I posted in August a weird side effect of my hysterectomy; my cholesterol numbers were about half...here is an update. So, my first test post hyster, showed my total cholesterol at about 94, and all the other numbers were about half of "normal". I am on 20 mg per day pravachol, and for the past five years:consistant. 200total. So, while they were "great" I did not believe them, and made the dr run the test again. So, results back, and still great! 154 total, and all of the other numbers much lower. So, was my out of control fibroid creating havoc there too??? I had an angiogram a few years ago, just to make sure all the arteries were fine, and they are "like that of a 19 year old" per the cardiologist. So CRAZY! Anyway, my general doctor has no clue really, and so at this point I have kept the medication the same. If in February when I get tested again, they are lower, then I will see about changing medication...anyway, maybe just anbother little perk for doing this...

I'm having the routine blood tests including lipids done next week for my GP. It'll be interesting to see what the cholesterol numbers are! I do take Vytorin to keep cholesterol low (I have diabetes). Thanks for this interesting tidbit!

Yes, it was wierd! The cure for high cholesterol!! Don't know what that means for men tho! Good luck!!
