What to expect when switching from Premarin to Viville Dot

I was having a lot of muscle pain, mostly in my hip area and lower back, So Dr switched me from Premarin .65 to Viville Dot .05, she said to start with half a patch then increase, after a few days, to whole patch. My muscle pain was so much better the first day, but my problem is that when I used the whole patch, I would have a lot of tightness in my neck and shoulders, so much so that it was very uncomfortable and I went back to half the patch. My question is will I adjust to the higher level and the neck tightness go away or does this mean the .05 dose is too high? Has anyone else had this neck and shoulder problem when switching to a patch? Lou
