Hot/cold Flashes
Hope everyone is doing well on their road to recovery. I had my tah bso on the 11th and on the 16th I started having hot and cold flashes. Today has been continual. Is any one else having these symptoms? Will they calm down a bit? i.e., 5 a day instead of 25? My body is probably saying to itself what in the world did you just do to me? thx

Hot/cold Flashes
Hi, are you on a HRT? If not you might want to talk to your Dr. If you are already on one, it might just not be working yet. Sometimes it takes up to a month before a HRT kicks in. I still get hot flashes and i have been on Ogen(HRT) since the 22 of last month. good luck to you!!

Hot/cold Flashes
I had mine on Dec. 14th, so I'm almost five weeks out and I'm still having them all day and night. In fact, if you'll check in a page or two, you'll find a thread I started called, "Anyone hot then cold?" or something like that and there are a lot of responses from sisters on this subject.
Good luck!
Judy

2 weeks out
I had my TAH/BSO on Jan 2 and the hot flashes started around the 4th day. I had a good week of them coming every hour to hour and 1/2, some quite severe with soaking night sweats too. The last few days I have noticed a great decrease...I am having around 5 a day and I am not on HRT. The only thing I have done differently is adding suppliments to my diet. I have been adding soy foods where I can (I am picky w/my food) I find that Quaker makes a yummy soy crisp in BBQ flavor. I am also taking 1000 mg Vit C, Vit D, Vit E, B complex, 1200 Calcium and a good multi. Maybe this is the reason and maybe not but it can't hurt and my Dr said today that I am doing all the right things.
The book "Sudden Menopause" has these suppliments listed and the suggested amounts.

Hot/cold Flashes
My LAVH/BSO was also on the 11th. Hot flashes and cold chills started yesterday (the 18th). This morning I woke up drenched. I am not on HRT yet - my dr. wants to wait until my 6 week check - so I REALLY hope this levels out soon.
