I had my TAH/BSO 10 months ago and I am not where I had hoped to be by now...
I think losing ovaries or total ovarian function is the reason why I am still struggling.
I'd really love to hear from sisters who have lost both ovaries while in their 20's or 30's....
good or bad-- please share your personal experiences... I am really hoping someone in that age range will respond with an overwhelmingly positive story.
If you are like me, and still struggling with surgical menopause issues-- I'd like to hear from you too.
My surgery was unexpected and I had no time to research my situation. I honestly had no idea I might be facing lifelong health problems like osteo, cardio, sexual, early aging, memory loss, weight gain, etc...
Please share! I am hoping to gain valuable insight from the personal experiences of sisters in the same boat as me!

Darlene,
I had my tah/bso at the age of 36. It was quite a struggle to find that place called hormonal balance, but I did eventually find it. It took time and lots of patience, the first year post op was a real rollar coaster ride. I am now 44 and am at a good place with my hormones. We have lots of good info on this site about hormones, the articles at www.hormonejungle.com are a good place to start.
