Is there Cold Turkey for BCP?

Okay, so surgery is in 3 days away. I stopped taking my pills on Friday. I've had a mirgaine Wednesday thought Sunday, not too bad for this morning. I've been on so long, I can't remember coming off them.

Bcp

I am on BCP for massive bleeding my LSH hysterectomy in Feb 1st and I was instructed not to go off because they would not want me to bleed like that before surgery, thank god cause the thought scares me to death, good luck we are almost there !

Is there Cold Turkey for BCP?

I've already had the last period, it does keep starting and stopping. I've been taking my iron and regular vitamins and drinking water a little more.

Today it seems like my bowels are aready afraid. I am sure it might be nerves, but I am ready.

I did get annointed at church on Sunday, that was a little scary.

I'm with you on that one!

Does anyone know how much there is after? Are the TVH the ones that are packed? For a regular TAH are they packed?

Hi Tiny, not sure what you mean about "how much" and "packed" I had a tvh and it was so simple. If thats what you are going to be having, try not to worry too much. You are going to be fine, I was really scared, almost cancled, i was so frightened. I do not do well in surgerys. I am so glad i kept my appointment. It went well. I had a few blood pressure problems, but other then that it was a breeze. It was a few things that popped up after the surgery that i was not aware was going to happen that was troublesome, but PLEASE, do not worry about going to the castle. The not knowing what it will be like is the hardest part, oh, and the waiting. Good luck to you all that are in waiting.

How much bleeding or discharge.

I know my mom had her surgery and she said that she did not have hardly anything. She did have uterine & cervical cancer. She is doing great. The radiation is the thing that she had trouble with.

Tiny, Really glad to hear you mom is doing good!! I had very little bleeding, was allmost nothing, and same with discharge, could be just me, but i was really surprised at how little anything came out of me. The first day right after surgery i had some bleeding, then nothing..yea!!! Hope the same is for you, everyone is different in their healing process.

I had a LAVH and had a little bit of bleeding the first couple of days and then I have only had some light spotting. I have only needed panty liners since day 2. I was told that it can go on like that for up to 6 weeks or so.
