Had tvt 12/29/06, now urinating from vagina

I had a tvt performed on 12/29/06. I realized last week that my urine is coming out from my vagina I was urinating sloppy and decided to check why this was happening. So I placed a tissue sheet where I am suppose to urine from and nothing came out from there. So I stopped mistream and took another tissue and placed it by my vagina. That is how I found out I immediately called my gyn and left message for him or nurse to call me. Well no call from his office came. Today I called and finally his nurse called me back. I explained what was happening and she said NO that is not suppose to be happening. The Dr. needs to see you right away. I am without a car today, so the earliest I can see him is tomorrow at 10am. Has this ever happen to any of you? I am afraid I may need another surgery.

This DID happen to me about 3-4 weeks after my hysterectomy and it was a vesicovaginal fistula. Your dr will be able to see it on exam, or run a dye test to confirm the diagnosis. You may want to see a urogyn or urologist to lead you through this-they are the experts in repairing them IF you have one. But your problem could be something else!
