C-C-C-Cold Monday, Feb. 5th

Note - I just walked around the building and I figure if I do the whole thing 7 times during the day, I will cover a mile. That should be easy. Every time I head to the rest room I can detour around the building one time and make 770 feet. It's not a very big building, so I'm never very far from my desk

Ali, I do hope your toothache goes away! I hate that, such a nuisance, such a pain.

Lynn, you must be at the castle by now, so we are thinking good thoughts for you!

Nanno it was 20 in my car and I was pretty chilled. It would have helped if I'd put my jacket on before leaving. Instead I left it wadded up beside me, and left it in the car. Then I had to run out to my car to retrieve things 5 times, facing the cold each time.

Sue, what a nice day you have planned! Enjoy!!

PJ, how far do you live from western NC? Would you like an organizational challenge? It's way beyond me and my scant organizational skills. I just saw your post about the comment at the bank I probably would have found a new bank. Did you find some friends who were more, well, astute?

Yvonne, rest rest rest! This is your one and only time to rest and heal properly, so don't push it. Have people visit you instead of going to them, f'rinstance? And stay warm up there. This morning's air was reminiscent of my days of waiting for the school bus in Mass (except we have no snow). Brr.

Desk, getting BETTER every day
Might consider coloring my hair except that it looks worse that way, so it might not help.

Hello again BEST friends,
Thanks again for all the good wishes. I am off and running. Have to be to the hosp at 11:15am. I am washed, bacterialized, shaved, dressed, and ready. DS is off to school has the key to let himself in. Older DS is taking him to BBall and to a meeting at school tonight and my bible study class will be bringing dinners all week for the family they are thrilled about that. For some reason, someone elses cooking always tastes better. Go figure.
Well ladies, I will be back on line as soon as I can lift my arms tomorrow. Until then. Lynn

Talking - C-C-C-Cold Monday, Feb. 5th C-C-C-Cold Monday, Feb. 5th

Hello again I'm off to a good start today. I had a bowl of special k with skim milk & a cup of coffee for breakfast. I just did the treadmill for 37 minutes/ 1 1/2 miles. I will behave the rest of the day. Have a shower planned, some light house work/ DH is home doing the heavy stuff/, and paperwork for taxes, Uck I hate tax time. I plan on staying home and not going out. I am comfortable in my recliner in the living room. The chairs at my friends yesterday did me in. I didn't think they would, but it was so nice to get back home. Good luck to Lynn today. You'll be in my thoughts. I'll check in again later, since I'm stuck in the house now, and starting to go stir crazy.

Hi ladies,
I agree...people need to use their brains then speak. That's why God gave us 2 Ears and 1 Mouth...to talk half as much!
I have natural "frosted" hair...as my mom used to say "God frosted it", and although I'm only 53, many think I'm older 'cause of the hair. I've reached the point of if the senior discount is offered I just say "If you're going to give it to me, sure". There are finally a handful of ladies I know "going natural", but still not very many.

Have a 2:00 dentist appointment :smilie5: ...all this time I thought it was a back bottom molar, but they told me not to take anything for pain all day, and it turns out to be a top tooth! It's weird how nerves work!
Gotta scoot.

Wow..What a wonderfully busy BEST day we have again.

I had an appointment first thing this morning. Had to have a mammogram and an ultra sound on one breast due to some issues I'm having with it. Nothing too serious yet, and I hope nothing at all. I'll know more in a few days, so I'll keep everyone posted.

Had to drive 110 miles then to take DH his cell phone. How he manages to leave it here so often is beyond me. But their server at work is down, so they have no internet, and all his numbers are in his phone. He told me not to bring it down, but I knew he really needed it. It will probably cost him a carry in dinner tonight because I don't feel like cooking.

I've got DH's Flu (not the stomach part thank goodness) so the rest of my day is going to be resting. I need that. I should paint and do laundry, but it may just all have to wait.

I will bundle up in a bit and get my walk in. It's not too bad if I get dressed properly for it. And the cold makes my nose run, which in turn will free up my sinuses some.

I can't taste food, so I'm not craving anything. I might have the perfect cure for over eating. A plugged up nose and sinus.

and to everyone!
Have a BEST OP day.
I'm off to rest, so no time to post individually. But I'm reading each post and I'm there with you guys.
Oh..but Fran...Now I'm wondering what your news is.

Nancy, I hope you feel better soon - rest helps, and acetaminophen does, too! As for DH maybe he needs to get another cell phone, like a cheaper "family plan" phone to keep in his car for days that he forgets his phone. It would pay for itself pretty quickly considering the cost of gas! and you can program in all the same phone numbers, so that's not a problem.

Ali, funny about teeth, eh? After my upper left rear (temporary) crown fell off, all my teeth started to ache, especially the one below and in front of it. As soon as I had the crown re-glued, the ache went away. Hope yours is an easy fix!

Fran - Fran where are you? How can you leave us hanging like this?

I've taken 4 official "laps" around the office so far today. Funny how it's hard to squeeze just a few minutes out of a schedule. I thought it would be a breeze. But it is nice to move around more.

Later, friends,
Desk

Hi!

Sorry to leave you in the lurch, but I was planning to tell you then, and then I was running late, so I thought I'd just let you know that I was still about!

My good news is I'm going to be a nanny ( step nanny to be correct!) The reason for the delay is that she wasn't well all week since thursday (why I've been MIA) and was in hospital fri to sun, because of pain and bleeding, and to be honest, I feared the worst. It turned out to be a nasty UTI.
Anyway, she had a scan today, all is well and the baby is expected around the 19th of August.

In the losing weight dept, things have been going great, I lost 2lbs last week, I've miscounted somewhere I'm only 148lbs, but hoping to be even less

I've excelled myself today, not only have I been OP, but been to the gym, AND took DD and her friend swimming. They played about, and I did the serious stuff, 30 lengths to be exact, which is approx 750 metres. I'll be going tomorrow to the gym, and possibly thurs too. I'm also swimming on thurs pm, with DD and another friend. Next week, I'm going tues with DD with another friend, but to another pool as this DD lives a little while away.

I am so pleased with myself for doing so well. I'm filling up on fruit, it can get a bit windy sometimes, but I've been sticking to 3 proper meals and fruit or yoghurt for snacks. Tonight, we had chicken stew that I made with a leftover chicken breast, carrots, potatoes and onions. It was a bit 'limp' but tasted okay.

s to everyone!
