hives!

Ok- unbelievably I have two gigantic hives (I think!) on the top of my rear end (one on each side). It is painful - I can hardly sit down!

I haven't eaten anything differently.

I haven't been anxious about surgery - at least not consciously. Possible subconcsiously???

I did think about my mom going into surgery with a mass - we just really thought that they would remove it, etc. Then we were shocked, stunned and told that it was Ovarian C.

I just wonder if this isn't playing in the back of my mind somewhere. I have a tendency to not think about the bad things and stay optimistic.

Help???

You'd be surprised at how thinking about this will effect you. I had to stop reading cause I was giving myself anxiety attacks. Try, try, try to relax.

Beth, try to relax. As much as you are trying not to think about it you really can't ignore it. You also might be having an allergic reaction to something. Did you eat or drink anything different over the past day or so? You could also call the doctor to see what he/she thinks. Take a nice hot bath. That might help. Best wishes.

Use any different soaps? How about trying on new clothes? Sometimes even new laundry detergent can set off an allergic reaction.

hives!

The only thing it could have been was the salmon I ate the night before. But I eat those all the time. I have broken out once with fish, but that was all over my body. I was never sure what they had in it (school food). But I have never had a reaction since. there could have been something in it I guess.

The Allegra seemed to help. I don't keep Benydryl around and didn't want to buy it just for this! yikes.. but it's lots better now.

Could they be boils? I had one before and OUCH! I would have that checked out! Good luck! I also agree to not read the things that panic you, it makes it worse!

They are still here today. Big red splotches on my rear! Not uncomfortable today. The only thing I can think of is that I did buy a different "scent" of detergent. /shrug

It's really strange!!

Could very well be the salmon. Sometimes even with things we've eaten before we can react to it or a way it was cooked or preserved or just it. My daughter over the course of a few months developed an allergy to Kiwi's of all things. Which she'd been eating for YEARS with no problems. You never know with allergies and especially hives since they can be reactions to stress or allergies.

Just be assured that they will go away.

Good Luck!
