dr wants me on estrogen patch?

I have been on Lupron for a month and experiencing the typical menopause side effects (hot flashes, insomnia, night sweats and the crazies). My dr wants me to start low dose estrogen patch twice a week. Just wanted to know what that is like and what I can expect. Does it just level you or are there side effects? I don't really mind my current side effects but I could sure do without the crazies.

I found that a low dose oestrogen patch really helped with those problems.... you could start low and work up to what suits you best.

Scriv, I am curious, do you still have the dry eyes and dry mouth from totally going off estrogen? Thanks. I have experienced these from just a drop in hormones, but they are getting somewhat better.

It's good your doc is letting you balance with estrogen. Side effects from patches are generally mild. You'll know when you try it as we are all different. My doc says the patches are usually the best though with the least side effects.
