Ambien

I just picked up my prescription for Ambien today. My mother in law told me that Ambien is the one that people were waking up and eating and driving in the middle of the night. I was so excited to maybe get some sleep and now I am nervous. I know alot of you are taking it, what are your experiences?

Ambien

I have been on Ambien for a couple of months now...I have been known to answer the phone and have full length conversations...also have noticed that I've been working on stuff for my job...but I do feel rested in the morning

I took it only twice when I thought i needed it. It works, but make sure you have 8 hours to be able to sleep. It makes you a little dizzy when first getting up, so take it easy. Enjoy your rest!

I didn't take it, but my husband has, and he had many unpleasant side effects. It wasn't worth it, in retrospect. He took the extended release version.
I guess as with all medication, it has its plusses and minuses. Just be certain that you absolutley *have* to take it, before you do.

I took it and had nightmares. But like with any medication different people have different reactions.

Ambien

Other than only getting five to six hours of sleep instead of seven to eight, I have not had any problems with the Ambien or the Ambien CR. Just remember that one persons experiences with any medicine will NOT be the same for everyone!

I love Ambien CR! It has been a life saver for me. I have the 12.5 mg pills and cut them in half. I sleep like a baby! I have not had any issues with it.

Take it and go RIGHT TO BED. When I take it and get up is when the trouble begins. I call my girlfriend, go to the grammy's. Yes, I actually got up and was looking for clothes to wear. I didn't remember a thing. My son even recorded me as proof one time.

It is great to take to get your sleep, but take it and stay in bed.

Ambien

I tried Ambien for a month and it did absolutely nothing for me. I have tried numerous sleep aids and herbal products, but the only thing so far I have found that helps me sleep is an anti seizure med (although I have never had seizures) called Klonopin. It is often prescribed for sleep or anti anxiety purposes but because of it's addictive nature, it is usually a last resort drug. I don't remember having any major side effects from the Ambien though. Just didn't help me.

Ambien

I LOVE my Ambien! I take the 10mg, and it's just perfect for me. I take it after I get in bed, and it usually takes about 30 minutes to take effect. I sleep like a baby for 8 hours, and wake up feeling great. Wonderful stuff. Can't recommend it highly enough.

And just a comment - don't waste your time with Rozerum. There's a reason it's non-addictive; it doesn't work.
