My compounded pharm. has had me on 1 mg test. 2 mg bi-est and 100 mg prog. I have been on them at least a year so I know I have given them time to work. I still have no nipple sensation and very little sensation down south. She just upped my test. to 3mg about 1 1/2 weeks ago. Should I already be ablt to tell a difference? She did tell me it could be upped again in a couple of weeks but I'm not sure what I should do. Maybe I'm expecting a miracle but should I really be able to tell when and if it kicks in? I feel so dumb when it comes to all this.

Thanks
Susie

P.S. by the way I'm also having prob with vaginal dryness too!

Hi susie

Is your hormone replacement (test., biest, and progesterone) all mixed into one cream that you apply to one area, or are they compounded separately? If they are separate, where do you apply the testosterone cream? I have achieved best results with applying my testosterone cream directly to the vulva.

Regarding vaginal dryness, I had that problem too until my doctor prescribed an estrogen vaginal cream. It made all the difference. Vaginal dryness is not uncommon for us and there are several options available to treat it. Here is an article you might find helpful:

My hormones are in capsule form each are seperate. I first tried the creams and they were seperate and I used the test cream down there but didn't notice any difference with that either. I just want something to make a difference.

You might not be absorbing them. When you swallow the hormones, they have to be processed through the liver first. (Something I personally, don't like.) For many women they do better in the cremes, but there are those who don't have a lot of success this way either. I have some friends who had that problem and they are now on the pellets, (which are implanted under the skin) and doing very well!

Don't get discouraged! For many of us, it takes a long time and a lot of "fine tuning" to get our own unique "formulas" just right. Do some more research on delivery systems and see if you're interested.

Hang in there!
