finding of endometriosis with adenomyosis???

I have suspected adenomyosis per clinical symptoms of cramping throughout the month, excruciating and heavy periods, and an enlarged uterus, per ultrasound, measuring like a 16 week pregnancy. On ultrasound, I have a cyct on each ovary. Here's my question. I have chronic left lower abdominal pain/discomfort/cramping that feels like it is pulling when I get up from a sitting to standing. what are the chances they may find endometriosis with the adenomyosis when I have my hysterctomy (scheduled for March 26th).

Could be the cyst causing that. Unfortunately a lot of things are hard for them to see ahead of time. Also if your adeno is distended it could be pressing on an ovary as well. Hopefully it is not endo as that is harder to get rid of even with a hyst. It doesn't always happen together. Good luck in your surgery!!

finding of endometriosis with adenomyosis???

I had both Adenomyosis and Endometriosis. Doctor detected them both and pathology backed it up in their report. Endo differs though because there is stages to how much growth there is on the outside of our organs so until my hysterectomy we didn't know really how much I had. Adeno, like you, I cramped all month and bled heavy for weeks because my uterus kept trying to shed but the tissue was embedded into my uterus walls so it never stopped. I also had a pulling/ tugging but mine was from a hernia which was fixed during the hysterectomy. Wishing you luck.
