Snow-again Sunday, February18
Good Morning all,
What's up with the snow????????? It was a little warmer here yesterday afternoon in the mid to high 50's, it got cooler again last night. It is due to drop cold again tonight, it guess from your snow and cold, just keep sending it down here. I just hope the weather is nice for all the Daytona 500 fans today, some of those people have been camping in tents for days now - must be miserable for them.
Our new mattress and boxspring will be delivered today so that means we need to hurry and get our room tiled and ready so we are not moving the furniture a million times. We have a huge cherry bedroom set. Very heavy and hard to move. I am going to get the paint for the room and hopefully can convince both ds to help paints since Iam not allowed to participate in any physical activities yet except slow walking.
Food today is still up in the air:
I do know that breakfast will be hot tea and a banana
Lunch for me will be soup
Dinner will be baked ziti and meatballs for dh and ds and ds. But I will probably have Salad with romaine lettuce, tomato and chicken breast and either steamed broccoli or a sweet potato. not quite sure.
Snacks - we'll see if I get hungry and what I get hungry for. I did pick up some grapes at the store yesterday when I picked up some prescription refills.
I will check in on everyone later. Have a day. Drink your water. Eat healthy. Enjoy your Sunday. Lynn

Snow-again Sunday, February18
Hi All!
I'm not having too successful a weekend, Billy had a fight friday, and my car overheated yesterday, fortunately a neighbour had a look and it looks like a burst pipe rather than anything expensive, and my fridge part of the new fridge has ceased to work.
I'm praying that all will be fixed quickly and cheaply.
The amount of gone off food I chucked out this weekend was ridiculous. I've put everything in the freezer as much as I can anyway!
Other than that, everythings OP and staying OP today!
The kids are off this week for half term, and I am only working mon, tues and sat. Hopefully we can get out and about to the cinema, I really want to see Charlotte's web.
Billy has been walked, the ironing is going down nicely, it's MILs birthday tomorrow so I'm hoping to be able to go see her tomorrow, I bought her some colcannon and I'd like her to eat it, if we eat together, she's more likely to eat it!
I finally got around to updating my HS membership, I've been meaning to do it since it run out, and I've been sooo busy, and today I did it cos I'm sick of only having 4 smilies. However did we manage before with just 4???
Gotta go and defeat the ironing pile now, will see you all later!

Good morning BEST s
First, here goes with the important stuff: My dear niece is doing better today. The fever has dropped and she was able to keep water and a few slices of banana down. It appears that my sister was giving her Advil and should have been giving her Tylenol. I'm thinking that the Advil probably made her sick to her stomach. Even her mother hen of a brother (17 yo today - boy, time sure does fly!!!) thinks she looks better
Food is still so-so: while I'm not making the best of choices, I am eating a lot less than usual. Simply not hungry and a bit of an upset stomach. I can feel that my clothes are a lot looser
(((Ali)))) Weve been having a bit of snow in the past few days, though the winter storms have been eluding this region Wish the extreme weather swings had been eluding us too
((((Lynn)))) I do hope the weather is nice for the Daytona
((((Fran0000 I love the new avatar!!! So sorry everything is coming down on you, all at once Hope it doesn't all translate in having to spend more than you hope.

Good morning to Nanno, Lynn, Ali, Fran,Dany and all BEST friends. Today is going good so far. I walked on the treadmill for 35 minutes/ 1.75miles. Breakfast was: oatmeal w/banana, cup coffee w/ff creamer and splenda. I've had 32oz of water so far. Plan to get in 64oz plus again. I've been doing good with the water. I'm not sure what lunch will be. Supper is: BBQ pulled pork sandwiches / which is in the crockpot. Those are the easiest for me now so I don't have to stand long. We'll also have sweet potato fries with them. And its my older sons birthday tomorrow, and he's going to his fiances in Long Island tomorrow, so I'm having cake and icecream for him tonight. He picked out the supper meal.
Now I have to go back to the grocery store/ just went yesterday/ and get cake, icecream, card. I was planning on doing his birthday tomorrow. Oh well.
Dany: Glad to hear that your niece is doing better
Fran: Sorry to hear about your weekend. But, at least you're staying OP Good job!
Lynn: Glad to hear you're feeling good. Sounds like a nice bedroom set.
Nanno: Have a good day
Ali: Have fun snow shoveling . At least I'm getting out of doing that this year
Well, I'm going to head out to the grocery store, so I can get back and have lunch, and try to take a nap.
Bye for now

Happy Daytona Day to Meliss and all you racing fans! It's not on my screen, but then what is? I've been MIA since Friday was busy with Mom and Dad, and then Saturday I was sort of. Took dogs for a walk but really felt like my lungs were tight, and then I started coughing. So DH LT did my shift last night with Dad. This morning I went over for a few hours and briefly felt a little nauseated, but that passed and so I made pancakes for Dad and had one with a slice of bacon. I was actually pretty good, just not into eating as much as I usually do there. My mother and I pulled together some tax stuff and then I left. I'm back in bed now, not going to walk the pups but am going to try to get some extra sleep in. I don't need to develop any lung problems, thank you very much!!!
Dany, I'm glad to hear your niece is doing better and also pleased to know that you are eating less and seeing a change in the clothes. Very good trend to be on!
Ali and Nanno, be careful shoveling. We actually had a dusting of snow last night, but it was light and fluffy and it just blew off my car as I drove away. Stay warm!
Yvonne, good news on the walking, just take it slower than you would like. You only have one chance to heal!
Fran, I hope Billy is okay and your car and fridge get all straightened out. At least the fridge must be under warranty - it's brand new
Lynn how are you feeling? Enjoy your new mattress - I love getting new mattresses, especially when they are comfy and snuggly. What fun to have a fresh new bed to heal in, don't you think?
Must nap now

Snow-again Sunday, February18
Hello all again,
Well our mattress and boxspring was delivered and the old ones carted off. So in our disaster area of a home remodeling project we have going we now have to move the tiling into the master bedroom. We dropped everything and went to home depot to get the paint for the master bedroom so that ds can help paint the walls where the huge headboard and my dresser sit after dh tiles under them. We will have to move out of our bedroom for this week so both ds's will move our mattress onto the floor of the family room for us to sleep on while the tile and paint is done. After the tile and grout and paint is done on those two walls the rest of the room can be tiled and then those two walls can be painted. Hopefully sometime in the next 6-8 months the entire inside of the house with the exception of the garage will be done. We did pick out the paint for the living-dining room and the family room/nook area while we were there-just didn't buy it yet. Too much stress with it sitting in the house and the tiling is really first priority with our neighbor needing his wet saw back and we really need to get the carpet pulled and the tiling done so we can get the air ducts cleaned before air conditioning season. For a simple job of tiling it has turned into completely tiling the house, laying area carpets, painting the entire inside of the house, replacing all ceiling fans, light fixtures, replacing all cabinets, counter tops, sinks in three bathrooms, replacing all appliances, cabinets, countertops, sinks, in kitchen, wallpapering kitchen, stripping wallpaper in the three bathrooms, retiling the jacuzzi in the master bathroom, replacing the three toilets, etc etc etc. It's a great way to clean and purge. Unfortunately most of my house is ;packed and we are living out of boxes and its getting old. Ihave had 2 surgeries (my hyst and my breasts) since we started so that has been a big obstacle in our completion schedule. Anyway we figure another 6 months for the inside and then about 2 months for the garage (we have a three car) about a month and a half for the pool deck/summer kitchen and then 2 months for the outside gardens/painting the outside. So by christmas we should be ok.
I am tired today, A overdid it a little. Hopefully everyone had a great sunday. I will check in on everyone later or tomorrow. Until then. Lynn
