Tissue granulation???
Yes, I have had this. I had scar tissue on the vaginal cuff and a bacterial infection. I went to the doctor because I had a stinging pain in my stomach. He put me on antibiotics and I was okay for a while. Now my stomach pain is back, I went back to him and he was actually annoyed that I still had pain. I told him if it was normal, I could live with it and he said it is not. I had my hysterectomy in July. Does anyone else out there have this stomach pain? What about fatigue? Does it ever end? I am going to another doctor Friday to find out what's going on.

Tissue granulation???
Hi carson,
I'm sorry you're dealing with this right now. There is a great article here at HysterSisters called Vaginal Cuff Granulation . You are not alone - there are a number of Sisters who are dealing with this.
I hope you find the answers you are looking for!

Tissue granulation???
I still have it and I had my surgery in August.......I've been "painted" 3 times now with the silver nitrate. I don't get the pains in my tummy but rather in my pubic area and lower back. There are nights I just cannot lay on my back or left side due to the extreme pain.
I need to go back

Tissue granulation???
Yes - I just found out I have tissue granulation this morning. There was a pretty good size area of it so he took a cryoprobe and "froze" it. Talk about pain, I almost passed out! I wished he would have used silver nitrate instead. I have to go back in two weeks and if there is any tissue left, he is going to do this again.
I made the appointment thinking that something wasn't right because it has been exactly 11 weeks post op and I didn't feel that I should be spotting blood anymore. I would spot for a while, then stop, and then spot again. The doctor explained that the granulation is a bundle of fibers, nerves and blood vessels. It sometimes will break open and bleed and weep like an open sore, which is what was happening to me, only mine wouldn't stop long enough to be able to stop wearing a panty liner. I never really felt any pain, maybe a cramp here and there, but no pain.
He treats people who don't have much granluation tissue with an estrogen cream, which I still may have to do after the next appointment.
I am just glad I know what was wrong and that it will soon be over and healed. Otherwise, I have been feeling great, other than getting every cold bug that comes my way.
I hope that your granulation is not as bad or the treatment as painful as mine.

Tissue granulation???
Thanks for responding. Mine started about a week ago. I am almost five months post op but sex still hurts and I would always spot after sex. Last week I spotted a little but just felt yucky. Everything was so irritated I thought I might have a yeast infection but it did not itch. Finally called my doc and I saw him yesterday and he confirmed I did have tissue granulation and apparently several spots of it. He treated it with silver nitrate which was not to bad until later on. Last night I hurt something terrible I had to take a pain pill , but he also confirmed I have a bacterial infection and gave me some cream for that which is not alot of fun. I really hoped I would not have anymore problems I have to go back to the doc next week. Hope you feel better soon.

I had my 6 wk c/u this morning and I was told that I have a small area of granulation. I go back on Friday to treat it. My DR mentioned that he will cut away the area???That it was a piece of skin that was not supposed to be in that area???? BUT he did use the word granulation. He told me that it may take more than 1 treatment. He wanted to do it today, but I a just getting over the flu and it took everything just to make it there today and that was the LAST thing I wanted to have done. I have yet ANOTHER UTI...........3rd since the surgery........

Tissue granulation???
I went this morning for my 6 week post op (actually ony 5 week 2 days) and was dreading having the internal exam but it was not painful at all. She told me I had granulation so she cauterized it and that didnt hurt, just a weird feeling. She told me to come back in 2 months and is having me use estrogen cream 3 times a week until I go back.

Tissue granulation???
I have been either bleeding, spotting, or having a yellow discharge since the surgery. At about 10 weeks, I found out I had granulation in two places and had it cauterized with Monsel's solution instead of silver nitrate. I went for another treatment today and swear that my gyn was painting a canvas down there. If I still have the discharge in 2 weeks, he'll do it again and hopefully that will be it.
