Breast Tenderness

Hi

I had a hysterectomy going in two yrs in July, I kept my ovaries. I am wondering why after all this time my breast hurts so much, it gets swollen and very tender . It used to happen like one week in every month but now it is nearly all the time. Can anyone tell me if this is natural ?

Breast Tenderness

Hi Lady P

I had my hyst over 6 years ago and kept my ovaries. These days, I'm in peri-menopause and will find that, some days, my breasts will swell and that the right one will actually hurt. Then, for months, all is fine.

I did mention it to my doctor and she ordered a mammo and some blood tests. All came back normal.

If you haven't already done so, I think it would be a good idea to touch base with your doctor: it could be a sign of peri-menopause or of hormonal unbalance. Hopefully, you'll find relief soon

Breast Tenderness

Hi
I am one year 2 months post op and have had more breast tenderness since op than before. It is mostly for the two weeks before my period would have been, but didn't get it as bad before. Have had other menopause symptoms on and off too so think it is hormone imbalance.
