One too many surgeries!

After having a TVAH 2/8/07 leaving my ovaries which looked wonderful, then having a hiatal hernia repair in October 2007, now having to have right ovary out in a couple weeks with a possiblity that my left one will come out then also. The doctor said I have lots of adhesions. Will the surgeries ever end????

Angry - One too many surgeries! I know how you feel

I've been having surgeries since 2003 when had my hyster. and it's been down hill since then. In 2005 large vertical hernia had surgery for that and had a mesh put in that got infected had that removed in 2006, and of course the hernia back along with a large mass on my left ovary, only one left, so my surgery is April 24th, one doctor will be perfoming the hernia repair and one will be removing the ovary, so I feel your pain.

One too many surgeries!

Markswife1118,
How can your dr tell if you have more adhesions ?
My doctor told me theres no way of knowing unless he goes back in.
I just wanted to know if there was some kind of test I could get done to find out. Been having pain on and off since my surgery in 5-06.
I had alot of adhesions and scar tissue then. It took them 30 mins to get it all cleaned up just to get to my cyst.

One too many surgeries!

Bumble,

I have been complaining about not being able to stand sex because it hurts and when they were doing the transvaginal ultrasound they couldn't even move it enough to see my left ovary. He said scar tissue was cover the top of the vaginal area. I have been loosing alot of weight (trying to) and I keep feeling the pain more and more every day. I hope things get better for you soon.
