Question - calcifications...anyone??? calcifications...anyone???

I thought I had kidney stones in my ureter and bladder stones but after an IVP and cystoscopy on Friday I found out that I have calcifications on the OUTSIDE of my ureter and bladder calcifications. Has anyone had this??

My Urologist is going to confer with my Gyn and look over my notes from my surgeries (I had a hyst and three laps due to endo and adhesions). I've tried looking up bladder calcifications on the internet but its all in medical lingo that I don't understand.

I would love to hear from someone whose been in a similar situation or knows of someone who has. At this point, I am so frustrated and just want a clear diagnosis and treatment. I'm not dreaming up my symptoms and pain and want relief....

Thanks for listening...God bless....

Crystal, does your doctor say what the calc. could be? Such as old endometriosis or something like that? I know it would make me wonder, too. I tried looking it up and I'm surprised you came up with even really technical medical terms. I can hardly find much of anything. (The most I can find are things having to do with people who have had ureteral stents.) Is it possible they are old adhesions from your previous surgeries? It sounds like you have a history of those and that this stuff might be related. I'm sorry I can't find any more about it here. Maybe a urological site would have a few more answers? Sending BIG S and hoping you can find the help you need soon.....

calcifications...anyone???

Thanks OrahDeb for getting back to me. I am going to get on some urological sites and look around. I am still waiting on my uro to call me back to see if he was able to get with my gyn and discuss my past surgeries. I have thought about the calcifications on the outside of my ureter being scar tissue or endo but I don't know if the calcifications on the inside wall of my bladder could be either one of those things.

I just want a diagnosis and an action plan to get me back to normal (or something similar to that--ha ha).
I am growing impatient and just want relief from my symptoms....Thanks again for replying to my post..Ladies like yourself and this sight are such a blessing to someone who is searching for some answers and not wanting to feel alone in their physical and emotional pain........
