Gas Pain Relief

To All, I spent a little over 2 years volunteering in the baby unit at our local hospital. I worked on the floor with the moms that had C-Sections. All of these women suffered from gas pain and we treated woman a lot with ginnger tea.

We would leave a bottle of giner-ale on the counter in the kitchen so it would be warm and not cool the tea down. Then I'd make a hot cup of regular tea and pour ginger-ale into it. It will fizzle like crazy but for some reason you really want those gingerale bubbles in the tea.

I amnot sure how it works but drinking the tea always gave the women relief.

I just had my gallbladder out 2 weeks ago and had the trapped gas in my shoulder and chest area. I thought I would die! The nurses told me just to walk around and take deep breaths and exhale thru my mouth. Did not really help, after my post op visit w/ surgeon he told me to lay flat and put heating pad on my stomach and chest area. He said when the gas warms then it is easier to pass. I tried and it defiently helped. So when I have my visit to the castle in a few weeks, I'm taking my heating pad.
