Unhappy - new and need info new and need info

hi. i'm new here and need as much info as i can get. i went to gyn for very heavy bleeding last month i have always had abnormal cycles since my youngest son was born 12 years ago. i would go a couple of months without seeing a cycle and then when it would come it would be heavy(going thru super plus tampons and overnight pads in about 45 mins) well my last cycle was in oct 06 and i didn't see another one until the beginning of feb 07 this one was super heavy(tampons and pads and clothes every 9 mins) so i called family doc he sent me to gyn she did all the tests(us transvag us bloodwork papsmear and tried to do endo biopsy but failed) she decided to do a hysteroscope, d&c and a novasure ablation(she was unable to do novasure due to the way my endo lining looked) so she sent samples off to path going mon to get results. i do know that i will need a hyster. because gyn told my friend that was with me for surgery that that was the plan. she showed my friend pictures of the inside of my uterus but did not explain anything to her nor did she talk to me after surgery. my friend said that there was a big black spot on my uterus and when she asked dr what that was dr just said we would have to wait for path report. all other test were ok us did show an enlarged uterus and bloodwork showed i was anemic. i am 35 and have a very strong family history of female cancer so naturally i scared to death. my question is has anyone else had black spots in the uterus and if so what was it. second when i have the hyst. would i have to take hrt if i had then remove ovaries too. sorry so long but i thought having all this info would help...thank you

new and need info

to Hyster Sisters, sugargliderlove!

I'm sorry that you've been through so much already. I know how hard it is to wait for test results. Of course we always imagine the worst--it's just human nature. We'll be here to hold your hand and help you through all of this.

If you are certain that you will be scheduling a hysterectomy, you're welcome to use the Pre-Op Hysterectomy Support message board for your questions and concerns. If you aren't positive that a hysterectomy will be performed, you'll want to use the Hysterectomy Options and Alternatives forum. Either way you'll get wonderful support from your new Sisters.

I'm sending s and all best wishes!
