Beautiful day!!!

Hi everyone. I just had to post today to say WOW IT IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY. I live in Northern California and it is Spring here. The birds are singing, everything is green and flowering.... and I woke up with very little pain for the first time in 3 weeks! I actually walked upright with no pulling or burning for the first time since my surgery! My appetite is coming back (maybe not a good thing....I actually felt like eating chocolate last night for the first time since my surgery This is a wild ride. I have had so many feelings and emotions I have never had before. I had many days when I thought that living with my 3 pound fibroid was a way better deal. I know from horrifying experience though that I need to be sure not to over do it, be good and enjoy my time here at home with my many animals (my sanity through this). I have to admit I will miss "Judging Amy"....my new afternoon routine, when I go back "out there" next week. I do however have the luxury of not having to go full time until I am ready.Hang in there everyone. Trust your body to do the right thing and give yourself time to feel better. I realize that tomorrow I could feel like crap again, but hey today is a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!!!

WOW! It sounds like a wonderful day- its like that here in South Carolina- a beautiful day. I am so happy to hear that you are feeling so great only 3 weeks out. I am hoping for the same. I wish I had gotten that "decreased appetite" thing, I guess that was not part of my surgery....maybe I will call the md for a prescription for it-lol
I think my first words after " ouch omg and ooohhhh" were " when can I eat" lol.

I am so jealous!!! I woke up to 1 degree weather here in Michigan. It has been so cold. I just want to go for a walk down the block but it is waaaay to dangerous with all the ice. Enjoy your beautiful spring. I can't wait until we get ours!

I too am celebrating a beautiful spring day (here in North Carolina.) The sunshine, fresh air , sounds of birds is definitely spirit lifiting.I am about 1 1/2 weeks post op vag hyst and thanks to this web site am doing much better and being better to myself than I was before I found out about hystersisters a few days ago. Glad to hear you're feeling more comfortable today! The appetite thing is something isn't it? yesterday was the first day I craved some fresh baked cookies - Luckily I had stocked up on the ready to bake kind preop.

It's amazing the emotions that we go through after this surgery. The weather seemed to play a big part in mine. When it was chilly, cloudy, raining, etc. all I wanted to do was stay on the couch under a blanket. Now that the weather is warm and everything is starting to bud out again it feels so good to be outside and feel the sun and warmth.
