Okay, it really hurts
Okay, I go for my 4 week post op tomorrow. My dr. is very hard to get in for an appointment. It can take months. I have heard alot of people do not even get a pelvic exam. So, anyway just to kind of see if I was having any problem up there, I used a sterilized appliance (you can figure out what) to see what it felt like to have something against my vaginal cuff. Well, it hurt. There was pressure and it still hurts 10 minutes later.
I guess my question is: Is this normal?
I know it wasn't recommended by the dr. but I figure I will be released tomorrow so what could it hurt. I can also have a chance to discuss with my dr. instead of waiting 2 months to get an appointment.

Maybe you haven't entirely healed. I know that when I went in for my 5 weeks check up and he did a pelvic, it did not hurt...it did not hurt to have sex for the 1st time. Make sure you tell your dr. about this.

Your dr. has to check you to see how you are healing in there. I had my 4 week yesterday and he gave me a pelvic and said everything looked and felt like it was healing nicely but he wants me to wait until I'm 6 weeks to dtd.
Why don't you tell him that you have had a sore feeling in there but it's not constant. Then you don't have to go into detail and it should be a shoe in for him to check you out. GL

You need to be open and honest and let your doctor know exactly what you did and how you are feeling now. It is possible you are not completely healed. Not everyone is released at their post op appointment. It might be 6 weeks or 8 weeks. I was partially released at 3 months, completely released at 6 months! There is no magic number for when you are completely healed.
I hope everything it okay. Let us know what your doctor says.
