11 weeks or so and back on pain meds

Do you remember how bad our backs hurt when we came home from the hospital? Mine never really got better, so on Friday I was getting into bed as my back was killing me and something popped, it hurt so bad that I even screamed out loud. I thought it would go away, but nope, so Dh took me into the hospital and now I am back on the pain meds....Anyone else's back not getting any better? The er Dr. Had no answers for me. She said it is a mussel which I knew, but suggested P.T. Just wondering if it's just me and my achy breaky back, or if anyone else can't get past this.

11 weeks or so and back on pain meds

Right there with ya!! I'm 7 weeks post op and still have horrendous back pains. They took an x-ray and are wanting to do an MRI. My dr. is suspecting a herniated disc, but doesn't know for sure yet. I had this problem before surgery, thought it was caused by the enlarged uterus pressing on my spine since the pain was gone after surgery. But it quickly returned and is almost worst. Funny thing is it sometimes feels better after a...um...BM. I'm on anti-inflammatorys, but they're not doing much for the pain.

Good luck to you. Hope you feel better soon.

11 weeks or so and back on pain meds

Hey there, I understand about the back pain!! I got mine a coulple days after my LSH. I am now 3& a half weeks post op & went to my Chiro. who used instuments on my lower back(would normally get manually adjusted). It feels so good when she does it. She saw & felt right away the areas that were out of wack & fixed them. Hope you are able to get some help with yours. I think back pain is about as painful as a tooth ache!!!!! I'll be praying for you.

11 weeks or so and back on pain meds

My Dr just informed me that it can take 6months to a year for everything to readjust in your body and the first thing to have a hard time is your back. He told me to make sure I was sitting up straight and standing straight. I guess that he forgot that not too long ago he had pulled, tugged, and yanked a body part out of me. Id like to see him ALWAYS upright. But really the heating pad is good or ice depending on what relieves it for you but DONT feel bad about the meds! Thats what they are there for! I wish I had something better for you! Stay on your DR though if it just doesnt get better or if it gets worse! Sometimes I think the DRs dont believe how bad the pain really is until we have complained 100 times about it!!! Hope you feel better! I will be thinking about ya!
