Happy Hysterversary to me!!!

A year ago right now, I was lying in my hospital bed, out of surgery by 6 hours, still a little foggy, so I decided it would be a great idea to call my work and chat.......I called back the next day to apologize, lol.
A year after my TVH, I am feeling great - no more pelvic pain, no more bleeding three quarters of the month, no bleeding or pain during or after sex. I have absolutely no regrets about my surgery. I know there are many many women out there who are getting ready to go through their own hysterectomy and are freaked out as much, if not more, than I was. Waiting truly was the hardest part of the whole experience. Once I got to the castle, it was a smooth ride, even through my recovery time. I suppose now, on my 1 year hysterversary, I should do a little pampering or something....instead, I spent the day painting my son's bedroom. And tomorrow, I am planning on painting the other half of his room. So much for the pampering! I have a summer vacation to the beach coming up in July, I'll catch up on my pampering then :-)

Thank you to all the women on this board who helped me through my pre-op jitters, I can only imagine how nervous I migt have been without you all - I was quite nervous with all the help you gave, but it was soooo very helpful to know I wasn't alone!!!
