So Happy To Have Found You........!!)
I had a supra cervical hyst. on 3/2/07. Everything was removed above the cervix. I kept my cervix, but my uterus, tubes, & both overies were removed. It's been a very hard four weeks both mentally and physically. It's great to see that all of you are experiencing much of what I have been. You are all so supportive of one another. I just wish that I found you sooner to have been a part of the bond that you have all been sharing. I have been reading your message posts and all of you have helped me understand that I am not going crazy. However, I was wondering if any of you are still experincing a burning and/or stretching sensation below the belly botton and across. It is driving me nuts! It is very uncomfortable. I know, like most of you, I have been doing too much since the surgery. But I am a little concerned about its persistence. And at times I do get sharp pain I believe right where my ovaries use to be? Are any of you having any similar sensations -- especially the burning/pulling? And yes, I do find myself down at times too, but just by reading some of your posts you have uplifted me. Thank you. Also, I did not bleed at all. I had very little pink discharge for the first day or so after surgery and that's it. Any advise is greatly appreciated. Bless all of you!!

It is never too late to be a part of this site and a part of the "bond". We are all bonded by this experience and we are always here for you. The tugging and pulling you describe has been described in many threads here and so....I would say it is normal! You should check with your doctor if you are concerned. I am 11 weeks post-op and still have that sensation now and then and some numbness. I do not feel too worried about it. Hope that you feel 100 percent soon. It takes awhile and you just had your surgery!! Pamper yourself..you deserve it!!

Parkkola,
Thank you so much. You made me feel better. It's great to have someone to be able to say that they have experienced what I am experiencing. At times, there is no one to turn to. Actually many times since my surgery. I'm so grateful to have found you and the rest of the hystersisters. Thank you for making me feel welcomed!!)

I'm so glad you've found us! It's never too late ... I didn't find the site until a month post-op!
You're still only 4 weeks post-op and that 'stretching and burning' sensation around the incision area isn't unusual. Alot of nerves are cut during the surgery and it takes a long time for them to 'repair' themselves.
It's still very important that you take things easy ~ even now. Every week of rest/healing you can get is vitally important. If you're at all worried about any pains, please contact your doctor ~ you can't be too careful.
So, take real good care and we're here when you need us!

Hi. Welcome to the site and as the others have said it is never too late. Please post as often as you like and we will be sure to answer. You are only about 4 weeks post op and sounds normal to me. I also had an sah but kept my ovaries and cervix. I am 7 1/2 weeks post op and still have some pulling and stretching. If you are concerned call your dr to check. Best wishes for a very speedy recovery. Take care.

Thanks Paula!! It is great, and is certainly helping me, and I am sure all the others. Your behind me. I'm 10 days a head of you. I know that it is tough, hang in there. But, remember, there is a light that is shining so brightly!!) At this point, I believe it is more frustration, not being able to do what you want because of limitations and the continued burning and pulling sensation that is soooooo annoying. And the emotionally ups and downs that I think that we are all experiencing?! Bless you, and thank you for the welll appreciated welcome!!!!!!!

Thank you Wickedwoman99 for the welcome!!! It is a great site. You are lucky that you found it before your surgery. I wish that I did! You are a head of me in the healing process. Do you still experience the burning/stretching below your belly button that is so uncomfortable and frustrating? Did you have your ovaries removed as well? And an ab. hyst.? Are you on harmone theraphy? Because of my endo., the Dr. wants me to wait 6 mos. for the rest of the endo. to burn off, and then said that I must take est. and prog. so that it doesn't grow back? I also cooked today a decent meal, and was up and about all day more than ever, and now I am so tired and that burning sensation is very strong? I took motrin, but I am tempted to take a pain pill before bed. I want this to go away. Any input is appreciated. Thank you so much for the welcome. Bless you.
P.S. I keep eating and eating sweets too!!)

Pooodle and Poconowoman, thank you for the welcome!! It's such a great site!!! you are all wonderful and encouraging. It's so nice to see that your not going crazy and that other woman have or are experiencing what you are experiencing. This burning/stretching/pulling is driving me nuts. I took Motrin for this pain today and tonight, but I think that I might take a pain pill before bed, and I don't really want to. I just want it to end. At times it seems neverending....... My emotions are a little wild too!!) Best wishes to all of you and thanks so much for the support and understanding. It is so appreciated and much needed at this time.
