Almost 4 Months Post Op from Hyster!!

Hi Ladies, I havent written in a while and I just wanted to check in! I am almost 4 Months Post Op from my Hyst on Feb 20th, and almost 1 Month Post Op From My Laprascopic Surgery on May 17th!! It has been a long hard Road, But I feel like I am finally starting to see the light at the end of the Tunnel!! I am so Thankful that I went and got a second Opinion from another Doctor who is now my Wonderful new OBGYN, she is a Lady and a Wonderful Doctor!! Being at work on my feet all day is still very hard, but I am feeling better everyday!! Recovery from both Surgeries has been a very SLOW PROCESS for me, but it is getting better everyday!!! I called a Atorney this week and spoke to them about bringing charges against the Doctor who did my Hyst, and they said that there is DEFINITE NEGELANCE from him, but unless I have Permant damage, there is nothing I can do except file a complaint with the Medical Board against Him which I am going to do!!! So they said if I would not have had the second surgery to correct the problems that he caused, I would have had a case against him!! But I had to have the second surgery to get out of pain, and besides, No amount of Money in the world is worth experiencing the Pain I was in!! So live and Learn I say!! But I will be filing a complaint against Him!!! Well, I just wanted to write and say Hello to everyone, Hope You all are doing Great!! Take Care

Almost 4 Months Post Op from Hyster!!

Dear Tweetie, I know you have had a rough time with your hysterectomy and then facing surgery again in such a short time. But give yourself a big pat on your back for recognizing that your problems where not completely resolved and finding a second doctor to help solve your problem. Hopefully now you are on the complete road to recovery I stand on my feet all day to so I know that yucky tugging pain is awful some days but as each day goes by I do feel better and you will too I hope other ladies will read your original post and your new post and know that it is not all in our heads. We know when we are in pain and something is not right. Thank goodness for your new doctor and how quickly she diagnosed your second problem. I would file a complaint against the first doctor even if you can't sue him at least there is a complaint which someone might see and not use him I have decided never to use a male gyn again becuase I feel like they delayed my process of feeling good again by at least 5 years. Being period free and pain free is such a awesome feeling for me I am in heaven. Hopefully soon you will be there too. Best wishes in your recovery. Diane

Almost 4 Months Post Op from Hyster!!

I just want to say that not all male GYN's are insensitive - I actually had the reverse experience - a female MD responed to my concerns with my heavy bleeding that I shouldn't be so anxious to be rid of my periods - they "keep you young looking". Needless to say, she must never have put up with periods from hell!!! When I went to the male GYN, he tried conservative treatments (medication, D&C, watch and wait), but 4 months after I first saw him, I had my hyster. So I don't think it is as important as to whether an MD is male or female, just the different levels of compassion and/or competency of each individual DR.

Almost 4 Months Post Op from Hyster!!

Hi Diane Thanks so much for Replying to my Post!! Yes, I am feeling better everyday, but it is a SLOW Process!! I think that I would be further along in my Recovery if I didnt have to be on my feet all day at work!! I do sit down once in a while, but am usually to busy to sit for too long!! We have a Deadline we have to meet each week at work!! Everything has to be done and Mailed out by Thursday and Friday. I work in a Mailroom and I love my Job, but being on my feet all day really takes a toll on my Body!! I am so glad that you are doing well!!! Take it easy and take care of yourself, and no more Male Doctors for you and me
