Ohh, my bottom

For those of you that had a VH,monarch sling, vaginal reconstruction and pelvic floor repair, do you have a sharp pains on one side next to episiotomy type incision?
I am three weeks post and everything is feeling better but that. It feels like someone is jabbing me with a needle when I sit bend over or after bm. : I did have a hematoma there but that is gone. My doctor thinks she might have went further into bottom muscle with needle and that is what is causing pain. I hope a nerve was not hit and that this will be on going.

Ohh, my bottom

I have needle point very sharp pains myself. They started happening a few days ago I believe. They luckily don't last very long and I haven't experienced anything out of the ordinary after they occur so I assume they are just part of the process of healing. Most of my pains are deep and internally in the vagainal area, except the pains where my TVT sling was adjusted at the surface. Or at least I guess that's what it is. I had two very small spots that had some glue on them and I assume they were part of the TVT process based on pictures I have seen of it done. My episotomy area is the most irritating part to me at this point as well. Just because it so irritating. I'm always afraid to sit on a public toilet that might be a little too low for fear of spreading it too far. I do get twinges when I sit to use the bathroom too quite a bit, especially if it's going to be a BM episode. But it usually only lasts again for just a few seconds. I'm hoping the stabbing needle sensations and twinges I get are all just part of the healing process. I don't worry about them too much since they don't occur too often and they are very short events with no lasting effects that I can see or feel, but I do get them.

(((Ophelia)))
I had a lot of discomfort from the incisions in that area. I would say they were the slowest to heal. Sitting for very long caused me a lot of discomfort. I had to use a donut pillow for quite some time.
My guess is it's part of the healing and will go away with time.
Have you tried icing it? I know it's a little odd to think about and you have to have some privacy, but it feels so good.
I hope yours begins to feel better soon.

Ohh, my bottom

Thank-you precious pearl. When the pain has increased so has the hardness. Pain pills don't really help and yes I do ice it and that helps while it is being iced. It seems like every-other-day it gets bad and inbetween it is only a little sore. You gave me hope though so I will look forward to it going away. Ophelia
