Help! Livial (tibolone) Vs Estratest

I'm having problems in the bedroom. I'm on estradiol 0.625 which is actually insufficient to control flushing, and will see the Dr about it soon

But I'm having difficulties in achieving an orgasm, vaginally. I have a uterus and a cervix.

I wonder if anyone can tell me about testosterone and or Livial (tibolone, tibofem, boltin)

did the Livial increase secretions and lubrication, and did either help with.. well, you know.

Help! Livial (tibolone) Vs Estratest

Hi!

I'm sorry that no one with experience to share has been along to reply. I don't have any experience with Livial (Tibolone) to share but I have used testosterone in the form of a compounded cream. It gave me back my missing libido/desire/sexual response when used with my estrogen and progesterone. For me it was the part of the hormone balance equation that was missing. I did try Estratest HS (Half Strength) for the first seven months or so post-op and while it was fine for my menopause symptoms it wasn't helping with libido. Some women do very well on it so the only way to know for sure is to try it yourself.

If you do a site search using Tibolone or Livial as your search term you can find previous discussions about this non-hormone treatment for menopause. There may be members in the No-Hormone Desert Oasis who are familiar with it. There is also information about it in the Resource Database. You can do a search there using the same terms as you use for the site search.

Have you had a discussion with your doctor yet? What does your doctor recommend for you?

April

Thank you for your timely reply. My doctor doesn't want to talk about it (Cue the Rod Stewart hit). He's on holidays right now and I'm seeing his locum tomorrow at 1:30

She's a little more compassionate.

I will, in the interim, look at the resources you've listed.
