DFW- Walk for Whisper - Sept 29, 2007

I'll be leaving in the morning - it's a 6 -7 hour drive & I want to be rested on Saturday morning.
Can't wait to meet everybody

Hi Kathy-

Thank you for organizing our participation in a great event. This was my first 5k race, and I was a little overwhelmed emotionally from all of the wonderful men, women, and children (and poochies too) who turned out to raise money for such a worthy cause.

It was also great to meet some of my other sisters and their spouses. Sorry I didn't get to join you for lunch. But, I look forward to being there and seeing you next year!

Dear Leah,
You were missed at lunch but I completely understand! The morning was busy and it was overwhelming. When I pulled up in the parking lot, got out and started to walk across the parking lot, seeing everyone in their t-shirts to represent their loved one, I had to gulp back the tears. What a precious way to demonstrate absolute love.

Next year we will be better organized and I look forward to seeing you there!

I would have loved to walk this, this year, but i live in houston, so the dfw chapter i guess is closest, but the walk is tomorrow, so cannot do it this year, but i e-mailed to see if i could get on a mailing list to get info and updates.
