OVCA and Recurrence....??

Hi Ladies,
I have my next 3-month followup appointment for OVCA (was stage IIIC, grade 3)in two weeks. The cancer-head hasn't bugged me too much this time, as it seems every appointment lessens my fears as I have continued to hear "no evidence of disease". (I've been buds with NED since April 2006 - a whole year!)
I had a CT scan about a month ago when I was having some weird things go on, a hiccuping problem (and it was something I was told to watch for, since my cancer ended up on the diaphram muscle). Anyhoo, everything was clear on the scan and those symptoms have gone away.
A new thing, however, has developed and I am asking for advice - should I call my doc now, or just wait 2 weeks for my scheduled appt. I have developed swelling in my groin area, right leg. It's usually after I have been active, and with this nicer weather I have been going on frequent walks. I also often feel like I need to relieve my bladder, when I don't really have to go. This has developed in the past few days. I was home sick with a nasty cold a couple of days ago, wasn't active or walking, and the swelling did not appear that night. I did have some discomfort after my 2nd-look surgery, that was performed exactly a year ago...however it healed and I haven't had any discomfort in my leg/groin since then, however the ache/pain that is associated with this is very similar to that feeling of post-surgery (but not as acute).
Being that I just had the CT 5 weeks ago...I find it hard to think this could be a recurrence...my CA125 levels will be checked at my next appt....my levels have been steadily increasing but they are still low and have never "doubled" in value to cause concern.
I just hate trying to balance on that tightrope of what should be called in to my oncologist, and what shouldn't be. I don't want the cancer-head to control me and make me bug my doc unnecessarily (I refuse to get scared over every little cough or ache)....yet I don't want to be stupid and let something go that should have been addressed earlier...???
Anyone else had anything like this?
And, I don't think I have any lymph nodes left in the groin....so it couldn't be a node swelling, can it? I'm pretty sure they were all taken out with the surgery.
Thanks in advance for any advice/info you can provide....

OVCA and Recurrence....??

I would call the oncologist or his nurse and ask for advice. Cancer head would be hard to deal with for 3 weeks

OVCA and Recurrence....??

Hi, Polkadot,
You mentioned several things in your message....you don't think there are any lymph nodes left in your groin, there is an ache/pain in the groin and swelling in the leg after increased activity. Maybe the start of lymphedema? I would call the oncologist's office too and try to speak with your MDs nurse.
