Soooo tired of this :-(
Last Thursday I had the vag u/s and hysteroscopy and halfway thru the hysteroscopy the doctor tells me he doesn't know why our (crappy) insurance didn't request just a laproscope (?) since all the symptoms are saying endo or ando or whatever. With these two tests he said may not be "bad enough" for our ins. to give the go ahead for the hysterectomy (since they're also denying a lady with a cancerous tumor) and he said they will probably want more tests done. Sure! Why not?! I love laying on tables with my bottom in someone's face and being poked & prodded and having to take a Valium to calm me down. My pre-op is supposed to be Wednesday and they told me it could still happen. Yeah, RIGHT. They turn a lady with a cancerous tumor the size of a golf ball down, but they'll let me? if they do let me I'm going to feel bad because the other lady is still fighting. *sigh* At least i don't have cancer, you know?
This is doing wonders for my stomach issues, let me tell ya. :-(

Have you called and spoke to your insurance company. I called them like a hundred times to verify different things. I didn't have to be pre-certified cause my procedure, TSH, is considered out-patient. Even though its being considered a "23 hr" stay its out-patient. Now, if I need to stay longer, or if the surgery had to be converted to a surgery requiring a longer stay the hospital just notifies the insurance company and its pretty much pre-certified then, cause, to be honest, there really isn't much that can be done at that point. So, if I were you I would be calling them up and getting some answers.

I got fairly quick results when I called my insurance company too.
Best wishes, I hope that everything works out well for you.

I called and all they'll tell me is that it's still in review and for me to call again tomorrow. My pre-op is Wednesday so this is cutting it really close. :-( They didn't even ask about the hysteroscopy, just the US... like the hysteroscopy doesn't even matter.
