New Bleeding? I'm scared....

I had my VH surgery on 4/10 and did fine with the exception to some extremely painful gas at times.

I had to take my daughter prom dress shopping yesterday and got out for the first time really since. (Dr. said it was ok to go back to work after 2 weeks with VH).

I had left a message asking Dr if I could go for a few hours and try to find this dress for my daughter and they said it should be fine for just 2 or so hours and not to push it to 4 hrs, etc. So I was out for 3 hrs.

Anyway, this morning I wake up to bright red blood and its coming about like a normal period would. I haven't had this since the day after my surgery. I've only had light spotting. Do you think I may have done something? I'm extremely concerned now and worried that yesterday is what did it? YIKES!!!!

I'd call your doctor just to let him know and meanwhile, try to stay off your feet and take it easy.

Hopefully, it's just your body telling you it needs to rest more.

New Bleeding? I'm scared....

I hope so!! I hope I didn't break the stitches or something. I'm so worried. My 2 week follow up is tomorrow at 1pm and I'm back at work today. I'm going to try and stay in my seat and not walk around too much.

Thanks Diane99.

I'd call

Dear Tahiti,
I second Diane's suggestion. Call the Dr. just to make sure. Generally they only get concerned when it's soaking a pad in an hour. BUT: it is definitely at change and comes after a long day. It won't hurt to check and reassure yourself.

Meanwhile, take it REALLY easy today and drink extra fluids.

I was out shopping for Prom dresses w/my DD yesterday too. At least this late they're all on sale. Her and a friend are doing that duck-tape dress contest thing but she's getting a better dress as a back-up or to change into after the official pictures. I was pretty worn out after shopping but otherwise ok. Of course I'm almost 6 weeks out.

Take care and I pray the bleeding lessens as you rest. Thoughts for good healing coming your way. LJC

LuvAggs:

Thanks! At least talking to everyone makes me feel a little less anxious.

Yes, you are right! The dresses were all on sale. I never remembered Prom being so expensive though. Now a days the girls want spray on tans, nails, toes, highlights, lowlights, professional make-up artist to do their make-up, dress, shoes, jewelry, gloves. I thought I was going to pass out just from the list of 'wants'.

In my day we just wanted the dress, shoes and some jewelry!

I'm with everyone else here....call your dr and let them know what's going on with you. They may want to check you, but then again, they may just tell you to stay off your feet

(My daughter's prom was last weekend and it cost a little over $600, but we made her pay 1/2...her dress was on sale for $300....crazy if you ask me)

Wickedwoman,

You are funny! I laughed at that size 6 tag line of yours! Yes, Prom expenses are ridiculous especially for ONE night!! I should've been more prepared.
