I'm in the sacramento area and would love to start a group or get together. This surgical menopause is tricky, and support would help!

Hey sacto gals. I will pray for your upcoming surgeries. Maybe post-op we can start a lunch group, or something. If you need anything, support, etc... dont hesitate to write. I live in Rocklin but go downtown to ucdavis for tx.

thank you sooo much! i live in carmichael, i just moved here not too long ago from elk grove, methodist is where i am having it, and recovering at my moms in elk grove for a few weeks.. i know i will be anxious to get back to my place so its a good motivator to get up and moving around asap... thanks again so much for the prayer... how about you? when and where are you going?

I had mine almost 2 years ago. But I've had major health problems. I went of the premarin and tried some of the bio-identicals but they just didn't work. I've been back on the premarin for about 6 weeks and my lupus has flared up. I had so many sx. from no estrogen, anxiety, depression, hot flashes, insomnia. It got bad. They never tell you about how your body is going to change, at least my Dr. didn't
Don't try to push it too hard after surgery, I just had to listen to my body. If I can help in any way, let me know. Us hystersisters have to stick together. This has been my greatest source of info and support. It helps to know your not alone :smilie5:

thank u karla, i had my pre op today with dr.. all went well.. im looking forward to getting this done with...

im back and have completed the hysterectomy... she had to take both ovaries.. one had a cyst larger then the ovary on it.. the other endo... my uterus was much larger then the ultra sound showed... there we two HUGE fibroids hanging off of my uterus ultra sound missed them... i am too drugged to get too freaked out about right now, but i have already mentioned to my dr that she needs to use a different method for fibroids.. ultra sounds at least in my case did not work... i have an annoying pain on the left side of my incision... called dr today and she said to take it easy and put hot compress on it.. seems to have worked a little bit.... cant wait to start really feeling better, although i do feel much better then i did before the surgery.. my tummy has gone down quite a bit.. so that is always a plus... hope you are well take care ladies
