Another silly question from new user of Climara

Is there a wrong place to put the patch? I put it above my butt, but I think I placed it too far to the left
Does it matter?

Hi!

There are no silly questions. Yes, there are wrong places to put the patch. For example, you wouldn't want to put in on your breasts... The directions say to put it on your lower abdomen, below the waistline. You can also put it on your rear, which is what I do. Sometimes it's closer to being on my hip than on my rear but I haven't noticed any difference in how it works. Absorption back there is about 20% higher than it is when applied to the abdomen.

Be sure you're putting it where it's not going to be rubbed a lot by your clothing and where it won't be affected by movement. For me the area around where my jean pockets are works out great. Also, don't alternate wearing the patches on your abdomen and rear. Pick one or the other and then alternate side to side rather than front to back. That should help ensure that your levels don't fluctuate and cause unwanted symptoms.

I hope this helps!
