Waited untill 10pm to take ambien cr. Up at 12,back to sleep. Now I have been up since 2:30. Any suggestions for insomnia? Using Vivelle patch which helps with other symptoms..............Not really napping during the day. I feel exhausted!

I'm having the same problem, i was taking ambien CR for a few weeks after my surgery, but stopped taking it this week, I only slept about a total of 4 hrs kept waking up every 2 hrs to go to the bathroom, and the hot flashes were making me feel so uncomfortalbe kept putting the covers on and off. I also feel so tired and have a headache feel like I'm in a fog. Hope it gets better for us.

Me too...............Do you have your ovaries? If not, are you taking HRT. Even though, I still have my right ovary, I was having bad night sweats, hot flashes, and mood swings. Started on the Vivelle dot patch last Friday and all symptoms are gone Thought insomnia was part of it, not sure now???

i tried ambien cr and was up and down all night. the only thing that works consistantly for me is lunesta 3mg. you might want to ask your dr for a few samples and see if you sleep better.

Well this is me sooooo badly, it's 1:10 am in Oz and I'm wide eyed and bushy tailed. Can relate to all the posts so far. Had the hot/cold flushes in my first week and half after surgery. It's not as bad now, but waking during the night to go to the toilet, I'm down to once maybe twice a night (fought it last night and went back to sleep, I won).

But going to sleep, argh, ok I'm getting over it big time, it could take 1 1/2 to 2 hrs to get off to sleep. I'm not a big napper during the day, just watching a huge amount of DVD's. Today I went to visit my work and spent about 2 hrs socialising with them (adult contact it's great), I felt stuffed and tired and I should be asleep but can I, NO!

I'm not taking any tablets for it. No need for pain killers, there is minor twitches, so its not needed. Think I should buzz the Dr tomorrow as this is really driving me nuts. All the tablets you guys are taking I wouldn't have a clue what they are, they've probably got different names coz I'm in Australia.

But we all want the same thing ...... SLEEP. (I had my uterus and cervix removed, ovaries are still in there) I don't we'll ever figure out the our (female) bodies.
