Adenomyosis and Endometriosis info please !

hi, my pathology report came back just the same as yours. Adenomyosis occurs inside the uterus so now that it is removed there is no reoccurance. However, Endometrosis is typically outside the uterus and a whole different story. Mine wasn't too bad and hopefully won't come back. Your doctor will know better based on your surgery. Seems many of us have bowel problems (IBS) hope you get to feeling better very soon.

Adenomyosis and Endometriosis info please !

Hello! I had/have stage 4 endometriosis and I take progesterone to keep the endometriosis that may still be in there from spreading. Only time will tell if it really works! Take care!

Adenomyosis and Endometriosis info please !

Hi!
Same dx here too. Stage 4 Endo and I had it all over. 2.5yrs later still endo free as far as I know. I asked my doctor recently if I could take any HRT's yet and she said NO. So No problem here. After all the pain I went through for so many years I can handle a few years of Hot Flashes. Now way do I want to that nasty stuff to come back again.

Wish you well!!

Adenomyosis and Endometriosis info please !

Hi happygrand46!

We have many Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Resources here on the site you can read through to learn all you can! You can also do a site search and read through the many, many endo and adeno threads on the site!

As mentioned above, adeno occures in the uterus and is completely cured with a complete hyst. Endo is a whole 'nother ballgam, occuring when the endomtrium implants outside the uterus.

There is no cure for endometriosis but removing as much endo as possible can be helpful. And not everyone with endo is very symptomatic. There are women with little endo and a lot of pain and women with a lot of endo and little or no pain.

Some of us do have problems with endo post hyst but not all women do. We do have an Endometriosis Support forum on the site for those of us with continued endo problems.

I would not borrow trouble by expecting future endo problems at all. But by knowing you can have future issues, you won't be caught unawares if they do occur.

I wish you the very best and hope your recovery is a smooth one!
