Hormone , Ambien and Bowel probs?

Help!!!! Ok I'm confused. It's been 5 weeks since I had my hyster.I have one ovary, I thought this would help with the hormone thing. But I am crying and not sleeping at all.
Can I still have a hormone imbalance with one ovary and so early? Plus is it normal to still have to take stool softners at 5 weeks. I'm just confused!!! I think my husband thought I would be back to normal by now. Or he was hoping! I would appreciate any answers anyone has. thanks, ps does anyone know anything about ambien. I've been taking it for over a month to sleep and my doctor gave me more but I"m afraid they might be making me more depressed. Is this possible?

Hormone , Ambien and Bowel probs?

Your ovary may be in shock and take a little longer to start functioning totally. Yes, it is normal to have bowel issues at 5 weeks because everything has shifted and it takes our bodies a while to get used to it. Are you taking any pain meds? That will slow bowels down a bit and if you're not moving around as much as before surgery. I took ambien and didn’t notice any more depression. It could be the combo of surgery and hormal fluctuations.
